1. A Thread is a contemporary dance production by renowned choreographer Jean Abreu touring the UK, China and Brazil including Auditorio Ibirapuera, Sao Paulo and Royal Festival Hall at London’s Southbank. The trailer above provides a glimpse into its world. The production also features sculpture by Artist Elisa Bracher and music by Heinali.

    As Costume Designer my task was to design, cut and construct. The costumes required belts that would be able to securely pull 50kg of weight with comfort and also appear visually in sync with the rest of the outfit styling and set design. The black markings provide definition and are a nod to the work of Artist Elisa Bracher whose ball sculpture the production revolves around. Client: Jean Abreu Dance
